NABO Council met at its usual location at the Waggon and Horses at Oldbury in the West Midlands on Saturday 6th March. The main items discussed were .....

• debate on NABO's role in the whole Waterways picture
• debate on NABO's view on the 'Waterways for Everyone' initiative and our response to consultation
• and the appointment of the new Nabo News Editor.

Chairman, David Fletcher says "Every few years Council has a look at what it should concentrate on in the best interests of its members so as not to be 'too thin' on the ground and so we will look at this. There are so many campaign Groups that we work alongside on many aspects of the Waterways and their future management - we generally believe that while we will always support a lot of what is happening we should perhaps put our own resources to specific boat owning issues"
