First of all, I wish you as prosperous New Year as rising costs
will
allow. As usual we will do all within our power to keep these down.
May the year 2008 also be a better one for boating.
Many thanks to the fifty-one of you who have responded so far to the survey on www.nabo.org.uk/survey.html. If it was one of your New Year's Resolutions to respond and you haven't yet done so, please don't forget. I would like to think we can produce some meaningful results by the end of the month and, judging by the list below, no BW Business Unit is going to take much notice of the samples so far.

However the trends are going true to form. Very few people think BW needs to communicate in Welsh - it only gets a 10% priority rating in Wales and Borders! Not surprisingly, vegetation management is right down the bottom of the performance list, some Units doing better than others. However to give BW a firm steer, we need many more responses. BW's New Year's Day is the 1st of April - and - what's better than setting your own New Year resolutions? - Answer, influencing other peoples'!
There have been some excellent comments which have also shown interesting trends and suggestions. I should point out that you can send in comments without submitting the main survey form providing you use the same numbering. If you have already done the main survey and have thought of some more comments, feel free to send them in. Each one comes independently and anonymously when you click its 'Submit' button, only the time it arrives, and in some cases, the content, gives us any clue who sent it!
Don't forget, this survey is open to all BW customers, and if you are holding back because it asks you your name, worry not, we only use it as an identifier for the response to help us not to miss a submission or inadvertently include one twice. I don't really care if you put in any combination of letters provided it isn't the same as too many others. The 'name' is not carried over into the database. However I would appreciate that you don't abuse this freedom.
Let Carole know if you are interested in cruising the Wash in the company of other members this summer.
